|
Rank |
John McCain |
Barack Obama |
|
Top Dawg (#1) |
Tim Pawlenty- Pawlenty is always perfectly on message. Did
you hear his tire gage comment? He makes a lot of sense in a
lot of ways and this is my odds on pick |
Evan Bayh- Obama had a 21 hour stop in Indiana coming up. VP
Announcement anyone? |
|
Second Fiddle (#2) |
Mitt Romney- The bane of him will be his time at Bain
Capital. Remember the Huckabee line: "You want someone who
worked with you, not the guy who laid you off." Democrats
will say that in more direct terms. |
Tim Kaine- This is like the backup player to Jim Webb. Webb
said no, so you look for a young pol from Virginia.
Belmont.com has Kaine as a huge 1-4 favorite. Now that is
crazy. |
|
Bronze Star (#3) |
Sarah Palin- Ironically, another Alaskan politican moves her
up in the rankings. She is as far away from Washington
Republican as you can get. |
Joe Biden- What does Biden add? Well he has a good voice.
That is about it in my mind. Still, a lot of people think
Biden could win the Veep-stakes. |
|
Just Behind the Pack (#4) |
Mark Sanford- Sanford was a top pick for a while, and he
kinda just fell off the map. Why? I see no good reason. |
Kathleen Sebilius- She keeps being thrown around, so she
makes my list. Doubtful though. |
|
Darkhorse (x) |
Eric Cantor- Would McCain pick a 45 year old man? Well he is
a rising star in the party. Also he is a Jew (think Florida)
and from Virginia (a swing state), that is a two-fer
friends. |
Bill Richardson- What can I say? I have a special place in
my heart for Bill. Bridge the Brown/Black debate. |
