7:46 South Carolina is for McCain. No suprise here.
7:42 Kevin Tracy favorite Luke Puckett goes down to Donnley. In a tough year, good men like Puckett will go down. Plus, fighting that Obama surge is darn near impossible as a canidate for Congress in Indiana
7:36 Young Vote Update 1: The last 3 elections the exit polls has showed 17% of voters are 18-29 all voters: look this year: OH 17% NC 17% GA 14% IN 19% KY 18% SC 18% VT 13% 18%. Point is, Young Yote seems to be normal, possibly slightly up. A good sign for McCain.
7:33 Ohio Exit Polls look good for Obama, but not good enough for any sensible Republican to freak out.
7:29 We have 2 of the biggest Swing state closing at 7:30, Ohio and North Carolina. Watch the NC Governor numbers too, which is a very close race.
7:23 Exit Poll #: 97% of Blacks in Georgia voting Obama. 74% of whites voting McCain. Race differences still exist
7:16 The coverage on the networks is bland for the most part so far. Not that I was expecting much.
7:08 Take a look at IN-8. This is a very stong republican district with a democrat in office. With 16% of the vote in, the Democrat is up 68-32. Not good news for Republicans in Indiana.
7:04 Mitch Daniels will be the Governor of Indiana. This is basically a sigh of relief that it could be called so early. Still watch that Souder race.
7:00 McCain wins KY Obama wins VT. McCain leads 8-3! In more important news, South Carolina is not an auntomatic call. I am sure we will have to wait for the largeAfrican American turnout. No other suprises yet.
