October 13th, 2008: The untouched question: Abortion

We have had 2 Presidential debates, and how many questions have been asked about moral values? Zero. One could argue that it ought not to have been included in the first debate, which was supposed to focus on foreign policy. Still, there were zero social issue questions of any kind in the 2nd debate. This final debate is on domestic policy, and they better address the issues of life, which is the most fundamental of all rights. Jefferson listed life as the first God given right in the Declaration of Independence. With the court system in the balance on this election, it would be horrible not to address the problem.

Now, rightfully, there will be a strong amount on the economic questions at this final domestic policy focused debate. But to not talk about abortion would be a shame. It is in my mind still the most important issue this election season, as there are multiple liberal justices that will probably go and our golden chance to overturn the immoral Roe v. Wade case may just fall by the wayside. While most people do not agree with me that this is the most important issue this election, just about all agree that it is important, and would like to hear it talked about.
