There is no shortage of Mitt Romney bashing in the archives of this blog. Mitt Romney is a phony and would have made a horrible President. That said, he is a business genius. Mitt Romney gets it, at least in terms of the financial markets. Jim Cramer once called Mitt Romney the “best businessman in America” and he is right. While you have many conservatives mislabeling the “invest in America” plan as a Wall Street bailout, it really is an infusion of capitol to unfreeze the credit market. The people on Wall Street have been losing a lot of money. The idea of an investment bank is now gone. This 700 billion hopefully will unfreeze the market and believe it or not, there is a very good chance we actually make money off of this “bailout”. This is why it is not a bailout, but rather an investment. Robert Bennett is someone I have been impressed with since the first time I heard him speak. Bennett is a very good hard working Senator from Utah. He does not steal the limelight like Barney Frank or Christopher Dodd or Mitt Romney because he is not that type of guy. He just is a great hard worker, working for the taxpayers. If you see him on C-SPAN some time, just stop the clicker and watch him. You will be impressed no matter where you fall politically. There is and old joke that 100 people in the senate are positioning themselves for a run for the Presidency. Bob Bennett ensures us that there are only 99 at the most, as he is the kind of worker that makes America great. |
