Rush Limbaugh has been promoting “Operation Chaos.” The idea, as I have talked about before as I promoted the idea even before Limbaugh is for Republicans to vote in the Democratic Party for Hillary Clinton. Why? Basically to make as much chaos in the Democratic Party as possible. The only way I believe we went this time is if the Democrats self destruct. This destruction happens if they go all the way to the convention without a nominee.
So, Limbaugh started calling for operation chaos before Texas and Ohio. So what has been the effect? It looks like Operation Chaos accounts for a 1% swing in the results. How did I get to that, well lets look at the exit polls. In states before operation chaos, Obama was winning conservatives by a 60-40 clip (see MO, WI, GA). After this, we have seen this same cohort move to 50-50. Thus, Operation Chaos has accounted for 10%, more or less. The conservative vote in the Democratic primary is about 10%, thus a 10% change nets a 1% difference.
So, operation chaos took this PA primary to double digits. Limbaugh is again successful, and Operation Chaos may not be done with Indiana and North Carolina just 2 weeks away.
