Many false rumors have abounded on the internet about Barack Obama being a Muslim. The truth is that Barack Obama is something worse. Barack Obama is a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ. The name is innocent enough, but it is a racist and hate filled institution led by the racist Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Barack Obama calls the Reverend a friend and a mentor.
So what has this preacher said, here are a couple of examples:
"The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color"
“The government gives them the drugs [referring to the Iran-Contra], builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people...God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme”
Obama has been trying to find the right angle for not letting this mentor of his seriously hurt his presidential bid. At first he was shown the many horrible quotes that Wright has said and Obama claimed that he was not sitting in the pews when those things were said. At the same time he was saying that Wright is like a crazy uncle, who you love even though sometimes he says crazy things.
Still, as much as he tries to claim that Wright is family, he is not family. I am sure that Obama joined this church 20 years ago to be more connected to the community when he was a community organizer. With his crazy uncle comments, it is clear that Obama knew what Wright stood for. He was not only a member of the church, but had a personal relationship with its pastor.
It now makes more sense why Obama will not wear an American flag lapel pin. His wife, Michelle Obama, said that this was the 1st time she was proud of her country. The Obama family clearly worshiped, loved, and yes agreed with the doctrines in general with Rev. Wright. They not only agree with him but have been influenced by him. How can we trust a man who has been studying under Rev. Wright? We can’t.
Obama has been a man running entirely on character. He has great speeches, has a great vision and sounds like a great force for unity. He, as man in his position often do, ask us to judge them by the company he keeps and his bio. Obama has been going to a racist church, an understudy of a racist pastor and has shown an unpatriotic streak. What does this add up to? Someone we can’t trust in the White House.
