The question I have been trying to figure out for weeks is this: Why do Men support Mike Huckabee while women support Mitt Romney? This gender divide is not me grasping at straws either, lets look at some numbers.
Iowa Men: Huckabee 34% Romney 15%
Iowa Women: Romney 43% Huckabee 19%
Why is this the case? I can’t figure it out. You would think the opposite. Romney is the CEO business man type, and Huckabee is the retail emotional appeal type. Yet men choose the retail politician and women the other way.
I wish I had some great analysis on this, but it just baffles me. Please throw out some ideas.
